Building a source library

With students, brainstorm categories of sources that could serve as experts on public safety issues aside from police, prosecutors, and other criminal legal system actors (e.g. doctors, public defenders, violence intervention workers, reentry service providers, community organizers, etc…). Students should choose two categories of interest. For each category, have students identify 2-3 individuals in their local community. For each source, students should explain why they believe this individual might be a good source and how they could build a relationship with them.
